How can I donate via text?

If you and the charity are based in the UK, just text the 4 letter, 2 digit code and the amount to 70070. For example, if you wanted to donate £10 to the code TEST80, you'd text:

'TEST80 £10' and send to the number 70070.

You can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 by text, for any other amount you'll need to give online.

Within 24 hours you'll receive confirmation by text to let you know the donation has been successful.

What's the cost of donating by text?

Every penny of your donation (including Gift Aid) goes to your charity. You may be charged for your text message, please refer to your network operator's standard rates.

Can I add Gift Aid, my name and a message to a text donation?

Yep, once you've sent your text we'll reply to confirm that we've received it. We'll also include a link to an online form. If you have a smartphone, click on the link to claim Gift Aid and/or leave a message. Alternatively, you can copy the link into a web browser on your PC/laptop or tablet and fill the form in there.

How can I get a refund for a text donation?

As text donations are charged to your mobile phone bill or taken from your pay as you go credit, you'll need to contact your mobile phone provider directly to arrange a refund.

What is happening with JustTextGiving in the future?

After a great partnership with Vodafone we've decided it's time to say goodbye to JustTextGiving.

This change will not take place until 31st March 2019, after which all text codes will be deactivated. You can continue to donate to text codes up until this date.

If you try to donate after this date, you will not be charged and the donation will not be successful.
