I’m raising money for someone else, shall I use their details?
It's up to you! If you opt to receive the funds yourself, it will be your responsibility to pass the funds over to them.
Alternatively, as long as you have their permission, it’s fine to submit someone else’s bank details. As the person responsible for setting up the page, you should use your details in the 'Page owner Verification' section, but enter the bank account details of someone else in the 'Bank account details' section. This person should be someone you know and trust.
For security purposes, you will be prompted to upload some form of identification (passport or driving license). This ID should belong to you and match the information submitted in the 'Page owner Verification' section.
I'm raising money for an organisation, can I submit their bank details?
Absolutely. However, remember that we run an ID check on the individual responsible for setting up the page. This means you should enter the bank account you want the funds you raise sent to, but the personal details belonging to the Page owner. It's worth noting here, you'll need to use your legal name and details, and not nicknames, business or organisation details.
After you've entered these details, you'll be prompted to enter bank account details.
As above, you'll need to use a current account, as we are unable to pay into savings, ISAs or building society accounts.
Just so you know, you also have the option to connect your page to a PayPal account. Not sure how to verify your PayPal account? No worries, we've got all that covered here.
