Update: We can confirm that the recent issues with Facebook have now been resolved. Anybody trying to login using their Facebook account or trying to share a JustGiving page to Facebook can now do so. We apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We're experiencing issues with Facebook right now. This is affecting people who are trying to login using their Facebook account or trying to share a JustGiving page to Facebook.
When logging in:
Those trying to login with their Facebook credentials will not be able to get into their account right now.
Whilst there are other methods for you to log in to your account, we appreciate that this is far from ideal.
If you have access to the email address that is connected to your Facebook account, you can select the ‘Forgot your password’ button, where you’ll be given the opportunity to reset your password and login directly with the new password.
NB this will only work if users have access to the relevant email account.
When sharing a page through Facebook:
Those attempting to share a Fundraising, Campaign or Crowdfunding page through the ‘Share’ button will see the following error:
Whilst we are working on fixing the problem, users can still share these pages on Facebook by following the steps below:
- Copy URL of page https://justgiving.com/fundraising/EXAMPLE
- Go directly to your Facebook account
- Create a post
- Paste URL of page into post
This will have the same intended outcome as clicking the ‘share’ button
When will this be fixed?
We’re working hard on resolving these errors and we’re really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused in the meantime. Once we have an update, we will be able to provide timescales.
What about sharing via other social channels?
We are only experiencing problems with Facebook. All other social channels are working as usual.
