When will my donation be confirmed? 

Your donation will confirm after enough confirmations on its respective blockchain. For some chains this only takes a minute, while others could take 15-30 minutes and in some cases of network congestion, even longer.

Can I add Gift Aid to cryptocurrency donations on JustGiving? 

Gift Aid is currently not supported as cryptocurrency is currently classified as an asset.

Are cryptocurrency donations tax-deductible?

Please consult your tax advisor for any questions around tax implications for cryptocurrency.

Can I get a refund on cryptocurrency donations? 

Yes. If a cryptocurrency donation is refunded, you will receive the equivalent value of the original donation in the same cryptocurrency. For example, if you donated 0.01 Bitcoin, which was converted to £41.21at the time of donation, a refund would be issued for the equivalent value of £41.21 in Bitcoin at the time of the refund.

I accidentally sent ​my cryptocurrency ​to the wrong address…what should I do?

Just like sending a letter to the wrong address, cryptocurrency donations are extremely difficult, if not impossible, to recover if accidentally sent to the wrong address. 

When donating on JustGiving, you'll be presented with a QR code or wallet address. For accuracy, we recommend using the QR code or clicking the option to copy the address, rather than manually typing the address.
